I booked a flight / hotel package which didn't include transfers. A Tripadvisor forum on Sharm - Dahab transfers suggested King Safari so I emailed them and got an almost immediate response asking for a small deposit through Moneybookers which went through automatically followed a few minutes later by confirmation of my booking - very impressive! So for a total cost of 44euros and only a few minutes of my time my return transfer was sorted. On both pick ups the minibus was there on time and no wasting time on a coach that stops at every hotel on the way and the bonus of extra beach time!

I recently sent my nephew on a tour of white and coloured canyons with King of Safari and have used them regularly for transfers to and from Sharm airport. The tour was great, they picked him up on time, the driver bought him an Egyptian breakfast on the way and then they had a great tour of the canyons with lots of information including cultural and historical nuggets of knowledge. For Mount Sinai the bedouin guide often disappeared to smoke shishas on the way up but was friendly enough and the community seems to benefit from tourism which is good to see. Joseph and his brother Bob go out of their way to help find the best trip at the best price and we even found them in the office at midnight willing to book a tour for the next day. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to see attractions in the Sinai area.

We arrived in Dahab without reservations for excursions but knew we wanted to go to Petra and Mt. Sinai. I emailed King Safari Dahab ahead of time to feel them out and they were prompt to respond and very helpful. When we arrived in Dahab we stopped by the office and made our reservation for Mt. Sinai (which left that evening) without any problems and for a great price. The next night we stopped by the office to arrange for our trip to Petra (again for a good price and no hassle). Both tours were excellent and the logistics were on point. FYI for Petra they will need a copy of your passport and you need to book at least 48 hours in advance as they need to provide your info to the appropriate authorities. We did the Mt Sinai sunrise trip here are my words of wisdom...bring hiking shoes, a good flash light, don't be afraid to hire a camel on the way up - its actually a wise idea, its tricky hiking down on very little sleep and due to the terrain so be careful otherwise have fun! BTW, I wouldn't hire the camel going down (I did) its slower and painful going down on a camel (you feel the impact of each uneven step that the camel goes down - I had to as I fell coming down the uneven terrain and sprained my ankle bc my running shoes didn't provide support but the camel is fast and comfortable when your going up the mountain. Again if you don't bring the appropriate shoes with support you will fall and potentially hurt yourself so be careful. I'm in my 30's and very athletic but fell and bust my butt...lol Remember your climbing 7500 feet up in the dark and down in the morning sun. :-)
